Field Notes
Sometimes I notice something worth keeping before I know what it will become.
A result surprises me. A process breaks in a useful way. A conversation gives me a distinction I want to remember. Field Notes are where I keep those observations while the work is still taking shape.
Notice this.
A place for the small discoveries
A note might hold a question to return to, something learned while building, or a connection between two projects. It does not need to explain an entire investigation. It needs to preserve what I noticed—and enough context to make it useful when I come back.
Some notes will lead into a Lab Entry or change the direction of a Project. Others will remain a small record that helps me see more clearly. Both belong here.
From the work behind the scenes
I keep working notes in my private knowledge system and choose which ones to share here. A question can stay open. A failure can be worth documenting. Publishing a note means there is something useful to share, even if the investigation continues.
The collection
There are no individual public Field Notes here yet. As I publish them, this will be the place to find them.
In the meantime, you can follow the longer investigations in Lab Entries, visit the Projects workshop, or explore what the work has produced in Artifacts.
